Hello Navan Rugby Community!
I’m Frankie Reid (née Finnegan), and my family has been involved with Navan RFC since 1925. I’m reaching out to you all as I embark on a mission to raise much-needed funds for all areas of our beloved club.
To make this happen, I’m organizing a Family Fun Day for all club members – and I need your support to make it a truly special event!
What’s in it for Our Teams?
We’ve structured the fundraiser to ensure the entire club benefits, with proceeds split three ways:
- 20% to Enable Ireland (Navan Office): Our amazing Blue Dragons receive fantastic support from the club, but additional assistance from Enable Ireland can help them thrive even more.
- 20% to Minis & Youths: The backbone of Navan RFC and our future stars! This portion will go towards essential equipment upgrades like tackle bags and training gear. Already this year, €3,500 was invested in new rugby balls.
- 60% to Club Facilities & Upgrades: Funds will be used for essential improvements, including:
- A new clubhouse front door
- A new barbecue & BBQ storage unit
- Upgraded parking facilities
- Enhancements to Oakleigh and pitch lighting
Why Get Involved?
Navan RFC is more than just a rugby club – it’s a community. We want to see more parents and families enjoying the fantastic facilities, bonding over coffee while the kids run, play, and make lifelong friendships. My own children never wanted to leave the club, and I know many of yours feel the same!
How Can You Help?
We’re asking each family to:
✅ Take a sponsor card for the club walk
✅ Sell two books of raffle tickets
✅ Help their team reach the €1,000 fundraising target (larger teams can aim even higher!)
✅ Donate or source prizes for the raffle – every contribution is greatly appreciated!

Let’s come together and make this a fantastic day for our club and community. It’s our club, and we’re all in this together – so let’s get moving!
