A superb first-half hat-trick from outside-centre Niamh Lister helped guide Navan Women's 3rd XV to a memorable victory over Midland Warriors in the Leinster Division 5/6 Women’s Plate Semi-Final at Balreask Old.
In just their second-ever competitive fixture, this newly formed Navan side showed remarkable composure and teamwork, securing a place in a provincial final, an impressive milestone that highlights the growing depth and development of women’s rugby at Navan RFC.
From the opening whistle, Navan played with energy and attacking flair, with Lister's pace and finishing proving too much for the visitors' defence. Solid contributions across the park, both in attack and defence, underpinned a composed performance that sees the team continue their exciting journey in style.
The club can take huge pride in the progress of this emerging squad, with their success reflecting the strength and future potential of Navan’s women’s rugby programme.
