Navan RFC’s Rosie Searle has been selected by Irish Head Coach Niamh Briggs in the Ireland Women’s U20 squad for the upcoming 2025 Six Nations Summer Series, which will take place in Wales next month.

This prestigious selection is a fitting milestone in what has been a remarkable year for Searle. Last August, she made her senior interprovincial debut for Connacht in the 2024 Vodafone Women's Interprovincial Championships. She followed that achievement by captaining Navan RFC’s first-ever Women’s U20 team in the inaugural Leinster Women’s U20 competition, where they went undefeated to claim the title.

Earlier this month, her upward trajectory continued as she was named in Leinster Women’s extended 65-player training squad by Head Coach Ben Martin, ahead of the 2025 Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championships.
Rosie is not the only player with Navan RFC connections to feature in this summer’s Ireland U20 squads. Also named in the Ireland Women’s U20 squad are former Navan Youth players Jade Gaffney and Emma Brogan, underlining the club’s growing impact in developing elite female rugby talent.

Meanwhile, in the Ireland Men’s U20 squad, former Navan Minis player Sam Wisniewski has been selected in the 30-player panel announced today by Head Coach Neil Doak ahead of the World Rugby U20 Championship, which begins later this month.
