U16 Boys Battle Hard in First North-East Outing
Six of our U16 Boys pulled on the Leinster North-East jersey for the first time on Friday in a spirited clash with Ulster in Portadown. Despite a determined performance, the North-East side were narrowly edged out 28–22.
Navan’s representatives were: Evan Lynch (sidelined with injury), Sean Masterson, Jimmy Shorten (captain), Killian Fagan, Donnacha Ryan, Asanka Varney, and Danny Farrell.
Special mention to Jimmy Shorten, who had the honour of leading the team out as captain on his representative debut.
U17 Boys Edge Ulster in Thriller
The following day saw our U17 Boys take to the same pitch in Portadown – and this time, the Leinster North-East squad came away with a 31–28 victory after a nail-biting contest.
Seven Navan players were involved: Conor Martin, Conor Kelly, Evan Lawless, Michael Cahalane (captain), Adam Kieran, Sam Murray, and Ishan Dharmasena.
Navan made a big impact on the scoreboard, with tries from both Ishan Dharmasena and skipper Michael Cahalane helping secure the win.
Two strong showings from our youth representatives, with both squads doing their club and families proud. These experiences will no doubt stand to them as they head into the new season.
