On Wednesday evening, 3rd September, Navan RFC members, players, volunteers, and friends past and present gathered in the clubhouse at Balreask Old to celebrate a truly historic milestone.
The founding of Navan Rugby Football Club exactly 100 years to the day since its creation in 1925, and for the launch of the club’s Centenary History book.
Earlier in the afternoon, teams across the club enjoyed the chance to have their photos taken with the BKT United Rugby Championship trophy, “The Array”, kindly provided by Leinster Rugby.
The evening officially began with a gathering of Club Presidents and Captains past and present to honour the centenary. Soon after, the wider Navan RFC community — supporters, guests, and friends — came together in the Balreask Long Bar for the launch of the club’s Centenary History book:

The evening was both a celebratory and reflective occasion, recognising Navan RFC’s proud and ongoing contribution to the sporting and social life of Navan and County Meath, as well as its role in the development of rugby across Leinster and Ireland.
Fittingly, proceedings concluded with the cutting of a special centenary birthday cake by descendants of the club’s founding members families who remain closely involved in Navan RFC a century later.
