The Under-20 Men’s side concluded their pre-season preparations with a narrow 21–15 defeat away to De La Salle Palmerston (DLSP) on Sunday, as the hosts crossed for a decisive try in the final play of the game.
It was a tightly contested encounter throughout, with Navan showing plenty of promise in both attack and defence. Despite the frustration of the last-minute loss, the match provided valuable game time and cohesion ahead of the start of competitive action next weekend.
Head Coach; Conor O’Sullivan and team management will have been encouraged by the side’s structure and physicality as they now look ahead to the opening round of the Leinster JP Fanagan (U20) League – Premier 2, Section B, where Navan travel to Energia Park to face Old Wesley on Sunday, 12th October (Kick-Off 3pm).
