The Women’s 1st XV claimed an impressive away win over Tullamore on Sunday, running in five tries to secure victory in Round 3 of the Leinster Women’s League Division 1.

Full-back Maria Smith crossed for two tries, while winger Sophia Murdock delivered a standout performance, including a 90-metre solo effort from a collected cross-field kick to earn the Player of the Match, sponsored by The Central.

Scrum-half Alex Connor added Navan’s bonus-point try, showing sharp awareness to exploit a defensive gap, while Shona White rounded off the scoring in the second half.

Tullamore responded with two tries of their own through strong forward play, but Navan’s defence and pace proved decisive.
