A late try from Skerries’ Mikey Sherlock denied the Men's 1st XV their first win of the Energia All-Ireland League Division 2B campaign, as both sides shared the points at Balreask Old.

Navan started brightly, with an early penalty from Mark Farrell followed by a converted try from Gary Faulkner. Skerries captain Kevin McGrath crossed for the visitors, but Navan responded through Mark Coen to lead 15–5 at the break.

The visitors were reduced to 14 men late in the first half, but Navan could not capitalise as they were reduced to fourteen themselves with a yellow early in the second period. Skerries took advantage, with tries from Jack Litchfield and Sherlock, alongside two key kicks from Ronan Mulcahy, levelling the score.

Navan captain Conor Hand added his side’s third try midway through the half, but the visitors’ late surge secured a dramatic draw.
